David is a Partner in the firm’s Biotech and Chemical/Materials Sciences Practice Groups and his practice is concentrated on patent prosecution and patentability, infringement, and validity evaluation in the areas of biology, biotechnology, immunology, genomics, pharmaceuticals, and biomedical devices.  Prior to joining Wood Herron & Evans in 1998, David was involved in research at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, a teaching hospital affiliated with Northwestern University, where he was published as co-author of a study of gene rearrangements in diffuse large cell lymphoma. Based on voting by his peers, David has consistently been named a Leading Lawyer in the specialty of Biotech Law by Cincy Business Magazine. He serves on the BioHealth Cluster Council to the Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Cincinnati, and serves on the Intellectual Property Alumni Advisory Board to the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. He also is an adjunct professor at Salmon P. Chase Law School. David resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife, Renee, and their son, Christopher.
